WITovation Entrepreneur Bootcamp
IT'S A WRAP
WITovation Entrepreneur Bootcamp is aimed at driving innovation and inspiring entrepreneurs.
The inaugural WItovation Entrepreneur Bootcamp was held on Oct 18, 2010, at the Singapore Tourism Board Auditorium.
It was a full-day of intensive sharing and mentoring session. Serial entrepreneur, archangel investor and CEO of Everbread, Morten Lund, opened the day, sharing his successes and mistakes. Successful travel entrepreneurs then shared their lessons while a panel of experts shared their predictions on the innovation to come in the digital travel space.
Four aspiring start-ups were then mentored by our panel of mentors and advisors and took part in competitive pitches. Three were chosen to pitch at the Grand Finals Pitch at the WIT Conference on Oct 19. The winner, Eco Travel Services, won 50 hours worth of mentoring time from a panel of advisors, a free booth at ITB Asia 2011 and an iPad.
Due to the encouraging response and positive feedback, the Entrepreneur Bootcamp will return in 2011, bigger and better.
About the WITovation Entrepreneur Competition
The WITovation competition is open to entrepreneurs who have a compelling business idea in the digital travel space, want to be mentored by a specially-assembled panel of experts and need access to funding channels.
Those shortlisted have the opportunity to attend the Bootcamp in Singapore and have their ideas and business plans workshopped with a panel of mentors who come from a wide range of backgrounds, interests and markets.
The winners of this year's Bootcamp went on to pitch their business plan to a panel of investors at the WIT Conference on October 19-20.
