MIKE BUCKMAN, President, Asia Pacific Region, BCD Travel

Mike Buckman is responsible for driving BCD Travel’s business strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, an area where the company has experienced tremendous growth. He previously served as CEO of BCD Travel following the company’s launch in 2006, overseeing the successful integration of three corporate travel industry powerhouses and securing the company’s position as one of the top three global travel management companies worldwide.

Prior to the creation of BCD Travel, Mike was CEO of WorldTravel BTI, where he encouraged a consistent investment in travel technologies, corporate online fulfillment, consulting services, and a visionary launch into the offshore reservation and support services market. Prior to joining WorldTravel BTI, Mike served as CEO of Worldspan from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, he held senior leadership positions with American Express Travel Related Services, Sabre and American Airlines. He also served as chairman of TRX, a provider of travel technology, transaction processing and data integration services to the global travel industry, from 2001 to 2005.

Mike currently serves as a board member at the Republic Bank of Georgia, and is a member of the Teradata Transportation Advisory Board.
