How will the videos be judged?
Competition entries will be judged by a panel of judges with the following criteria.

1. Content: Relevance to the theme of "Why I love to travel"
   How well you've understood the concept of love and travel
2. Creativity: Concept & technical execution
   How well you've told and executed the story
3. The Cool Factor: The entertainment and engagement value
   How well the video entertains and engages the viewers

There will be 2 rounds of judging through which your video(s) must pass to win.

1. Shortlist Round - All videos will be judged in this preliminary shortlist round. The best 20 videos will go on to the Finalist Round of judging.
2. Finalist Round - From the best 20 videos, the Judges will select and award the top three prize winners. Three people's choice awards will also be selected from our Facebook Fan Page based on public voting - to become a fan, please click here.

All decisions made by the organisers and judges are final and binding.


Are there additional terms of participation that we must take note of?
The information given on this site forms part of the rules and conditions. The "WIT: Why I Love To Travel" video competition is open to everyone of all skill levels, excluding Wired Ventures Pte Ltd employees and all judges. This exclusion also includes affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such individuals, whether or not related. Entries must be made via the WIT Facebook Fan Page and is (are) deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.


Is the contest open to all countries?
Entry into this competition is free and open to all countries. Note that the prizes do not include travel expenses


Are the videos limited to any language?
Videos may be submitted in any language/s. Please provide a scripted translation for videos not submitted in English.


In what format can I upload my video on Facebook?
Video submissions must conform to Facebook video rules.

The video must be under 1024 MB and under 3 minutes.


Announcements
Winners of the "WIT: Why I Love to Travel" video competition will be announced in September 2010 and all results will be published on the WIT Facebook Fan Page and WIT website. Winning videos in this competition will be showcased at the WIT Conference taking place in Singapore on Oct 19-20. Your work will be shown to more than 400 travel professionals from around the world who attend our event each year.


Video Usage
Wired Ventures Pte Ltd reserves the right to freely reproduce and exhibit all entered videos in all media, in connection with this competition. Should the videos be desired for further use in unrelated media permission, fees will be agreed with the entrant in advance. Privacy: By entering this Contest, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of information about you by Wired Ventures Pte Ltd for the purpose of administering this Contest.


Other terms and conditions to note
Disqualification
All entries must meet the following criteria or they risk disqualification:

1. Every submission must be a single work of original material taken by the entrant. Any discrepancy in entrant's particulars may result in disqualification from the competition, at the sole discretion of the organiser.
2. Videos may not contain defamatory, obscene, provocative, sexually explicit, objectionable or inappropriate content, at the sole discretion of the organiser. Photographing the work of others is allowed but only if as an object in its environment. Full-frame close ups of someone else's original art is not allowed.
3. The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all videos entered. It is the legal responsibility of the entrant, and not the organisers, to ensure that they comply with these ownership and copyright requirements and own the rights to reproduction of their videos.
4. Wired Ventures Pte Ltd is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic.
5. Entrants discovered to tamper with or abuse any aspect of this Contest, as determined by Wired Ventures Pte Ltd will be disqualified.
6. Should any part of this Contest be compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorised human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Wired Ventures Pte Ltd, which, in the sole opinion of Wired Ventures Pte Ltd, corrupts, or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper entry into the Contest, Wired Ventures Pte Ltd reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the competition.
7. Wired Ventures Pte Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it feels was placed due to tampering, abuse or fraud during the voting period.

Limitation of Liability
Entrants, by participating in the competition, agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Wired Ventures Pte Ltd, and each of their respective partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in this competition or any competition-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder. Furthermore the organisers are not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any on-line entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants' or any other persons' computers related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to this competition. - Participants also agree (a) to be bound by these Official Rules; (b) that the all decisions made by the judges are final on all matters relating to the competition; and (c) that Wired Ventures Pte Ltd may use the winning photographs along with each winner's name, photograph, likeness, and/or voice in any publicity or advertising relating to the competition or future promotions without compensation or approval.

Laws Governing
This competition will be governed by Singapore law and all entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
