How to make a Winning Video
BACK

Kevin Lee, one of our judges, shares tips on how to make a winning video for our contest.
  1. Keep it short, simple and steady
  2. Short means "keep the engaging stuff, leave out the boring bits". That means, edit, edit, edit
  3. Simple means "pick one story thread and stick to it"
  4. Steady means "keep your shots steady - use a tripod or stabilizer"
  5. Show me something I haven't seen before and even if I have seen it before, put in a fresh perspective.
  6. Tell a good story with a witty point of view - it needs to say something
  7. Don't just share information, express an opinion

A reminder of what the judges are looking for:
  1. Content: Relevance to the theme of "Why I love to travel"
How well you've understood the concept of love and travel
  2. Creativity: Concept & technical execution
How well you've told and executed the story
  3. The Cool Factor: The entertainment and engagement value
How well the video entertains and engages the viewers

Have fun.
