Chan Brothers
, one of Singapore’s leading travel agency, is the first company in Asia Pacific to choose Amadeus’ newly created Amadeus Mobile Traveller to address the needs of its customers, as well as to stay one step ahead of the curve.

The agency’s group managing director and CEO, Anthony Chan, said the application would give its customers “access to a much needed mobile platform where they can seamlessly search, book and travel with ease right from their iPhone or Android supported mobile devices.”

The application also allows the company to offer its full range of services through the new mobile channel, streamlnes its operations, reduces costs, as well as saves time for both the travellers and its agents.

Amadeus Mobile Traveller, designed for APAC’s travel agencies, is to meet the rapid development in mobile technology that is transforming the future of air travel. Global smartphone subscriptions stood at six billion at the end of 2011, and are estimated to reach approximately 7 billion by 2015, with 65% of those users in Asia.

In Singapore the mobile penetration rate stood at 149.6% at the end of 2011, making the city state one of the highest in mobile phone ownership.

The white mobile application opens a new sales channel and helps travel agencies capitalise on this emerging saturation.

For travellers the application allows them to:
   • plan and book trips anywhere and anytime,
   • check itinerary and flight status,
   • synchronise with their calendars,
   • access destination information, and
   • share their experiences on the go from their smartphones through social media integration.
