Klook signs global partnership with Rail Europe

Continuing to build its presence and prominence in international markets, Klook has signed a global partnership with Rail Europe, expanding Klook’s rail offerings and in-destination services.

Meanwhile, Rail Europe will be able to leverage Klook’s mobile booking technology and connect with travellers in over 100 markets worldwide, especially given Klook’s status as the “most-searched tours and activities platform globally”.

The partnership will manifest in a dedicated Europe Rail landing page on the Klook platform that will let customers book point-to-point train tickets in real time, or purchase different rail passes, depending on the regions they intend to travel in (e.g. Swiss Travel Pass, Eurail Pass, BritRail Pass, and German Rail Pass). Rail Europe represents over 50 railways throughout the continent.

“This partnership, and the extensive services it provides to our customers, will further solidify our standing as one of the world’s leading in-destination platforms with rail being a key pillar,” said Eric Gnock Fah, Klook’s COO and co-founder.

“Seeing a tremendous success of Klook’s rail experiences in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, we are excited to pioneer technological innovations in European rail services. These efforts reinforce our mission as a one-stop booking platform for travelers to discover and book in-destination experiences of all kinds.”The partnership will also offer Klook deeper insights into behaviors surrounding rail travel, based on its collected data. For example, it recently released a list of transcontinental itineraries, to address the growing popularity of Eurotrips, which saw “three-digit-fold monthly growth since May 2018.

Each itinerary caters to particular types of travel personalities, such as “Culture Lovers’ Express”, “Great Gourmet Route” and “Green Machine”, coupling destinations enroute with in-destination experiences that are also bookable on Klook.
