Bizly, the “all-in-one platform for building events” topped eight final entries that pitched at the Business Travel Innovation Faceoff during the recent Business Travel Show at the Olympia London.
The judges cross-examined, evaluated and critiqued all eight supplier presentations to determine the official winner of the 2020 Business Travel Innovator Award, concluding that “Bizly’s impactful presentation clearly demonstrated a strong user-centric and collaborative design for improving the meeting planner experience and streamline the venue sourcing process, empowering companies to do more themselves.
“It’s an honour to be recognised by such a great community and we particularly appreciate the support as we prepare to launch in Europe later this year,” said Bizly CEO Ron Shah.
The panel of judges included Steve Clagg, travel technology manager for Microsoft; Ami Goldenberg, co-founder and CTO for FairFly, Katharina Navarro, global category manager Travel & Meetings for Capgemini and Johnny Thorsen, vice president Strategy & Innovation for American Express Digital Labs.
Conference attendees voted for a separate “People’s Choice” award-winner, naming hotel rate shopping platform Tripbam.
“This award is a game-changer and validated us in the marketplace as we enable companies to get a deal anywhere in the world,” said Tripbam CEO Steve Reynolds.
