WiT (Web in Travel) is partnering with Singapore-based events platform, GEVME , to deliver a new kind of WiT Experience Week 2020, scheduled from September 28 to October 1.

“Covid has forced events into a new world and all of us have had to adapt to the changed circumstances, and the best way to navigate through it is with a good and trusted partner,” said Yeoh Siew Hoon, founder, WiT.

“GEVME will provide the tech platform for us to deliver the best of WiT in a virtual format. We are pleased to have found a tech partner willing to experiment with us to deliver a new kind of experience.”

GEVME is operated by Singapore-based GlobalSign.in, which started as an events registration software company, providing services to event organisers. With the recent addition of GEVME Live, the platform provides a one-stop solution to address the growing need for virtual events. Fully-customisable and secure, it is used to host professional and polished events online.

Covid has, of course, accelerated the trend and GlobalSign.in’s CEO and founder Veemal Gungadin (pictured right) and his team have found themselves at the epicentre of the digitisation and hybridisation of events.

Said Gungadin, “Covid-19 has shaken up the whole industry and people have had no choice but to adapt. We are pleased to work with WiT on the adaptation of its signature Singapore conference into a virtual event.

“I first came across WiT when I took part in one of their WiT Virtual events around the changing face of conferences and exhibitions, and I found its content and format appealing and compelling. We believe its approach to content and our approach to tech make for a winning combination.

“These extraordinary times require all of us to think differently and collaborate to find our way through it. I look forward to working with WiT to deliver their experience.”

WiT Experience Week, themed “Travel Zero.O: Back To The Future” will be held over four days. “We are still working out the final logistics. As you can imagine, things are pretty fluid, so we will be adaptable in how we deliver the final experience,” said Yeoh. “We are just so delighted to have a great tech partner along with us for this experimentation.”
