Last minute hotel booking app, HotelQuickly, expands its footprint in the Asia Pacific region with its entry into the emerging tourist markets of Myanmar and Laos.
The company said launching into these countries highlights its commitment to delivering a stress-free and rewarding last-minute hotel booking experience to customers wherever they go throughout the region.
HotelQuickly made the move after seeing the need for last-mminute hotel booking services in the two countries to support users traveling to these up and coming destinations.
The company’s co-founder COO & CMO,Christian Mischler said, “Our app is more and more being used by backpackers and flashpackers, who travel driven by inspiration and daily mood, preferring to find a place to stay on the day of arrival. Laos and Myanmar were white spots, so we’re now enabling travellers to fully rely on HotelQuickly when exploring the bordering countries of Thailand.”
With Myanmar’s tourism industry on the rise as travel restrictions are reduced, the company expected a rise in demand from leisure and business travelers making impromptu visits throughout the country.
CEO & co-founder Tomas Laboutka said, “A couple years back, Myanmar was uncharted territory. Now the country is booming with new hotels opening up constantly. We wanted to make sure we could serve our customers traveling in the region by offering the best rates in the region.”
The company listed a handful of carefully selected hotels at launch, and will add more properties in the coming weeks.
“As more and more hotels want to become a part of HotelQuickly, we will continue to expand and deliver that service to our growing audience,” Mischler.
