Since the relaunch of Rajakamar.com, Indonesia’s largest domestic hotel distribution group, on 31 May 2012 over 25,000 customers have downloaded its two mobile apps.

Scott Blume, CEO of RKI Group (pictured left), said the company was already seeing end-to-end bookings, including payment on these locally produced apps.

“It is also a clear demonstration of the demand from tech savvy Indonesians to be able search, book and pay for domestic hotels on their mobile phone,” he added.

Rajakamar’s apps initiative is also supported by the mobile optimised version of its website, which is accessible to all mobile users in Indonesia when searching its site from their mobile phones.

The mobile apps have received positive external reviews, with star ratings in Blackberry World (3.5 stars) on Google Play for Android (4.4 stars), demonstrating strong consumer response for the apps.

The company has seen significant double-digit month-o- month growth of both site visitors and transactions as Indonesians embrace the mix of online and mobile hotel transactions, supplemented with local offline telephone support from its call centre in Jakarta. The call centre is operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week.th
