Bookings for Asia to Europe (Paris, London & Frankfurt) saw a slight dip in the 4th April to 10th April week compared with the previous week. There was no significant increase in Asia to Europe booking in that week. Correspondingly, bookings from Asia to Asia increased in the 4th April to 10th April week by about 15% against last year.
It is interesting to note that in the week of 11th April to 17th April, bookings from Asia to Europe increased against last year by close to 40%, whilst Intra-Asia bookings in that same week saw an increase of slightly over 20% against last year. It appears that the volcanic ash fallout did not seem to affect bookings too drastically in this part of the world.
