Travel search engine Wego has partnered with several online travel accommodation sites to give its users a wide range of alternatives to conventional hotel stays via the Holiday Rentals search tab.

The new tab, which appears on the home page of Wego’s 52 customised sites worldwide, boasts 400,000 diverse alternatives such as villas, apartments, private homes, boats and even castles at 15,000 locations worldwide.

Wego said this more relaxed style of accommodation is perfect for families, some with pet-friendly options, friends who enjoy holidaying together, and those who like niche holidays such as skiing, golfing, hiking or wildlife encounters. For breaks in the city, rooftop apartments or studios within walking distance of dining, entertainment and shopping centres would add a touch of difference to the holiday experience.

Wego partners are Singapore based travelmob, which is the preferred partner for the Asian region, Australia’s Stayz,TheVillaGuide, and US’ HomeAway and Flipkey.
