WITovation Awards presents finalists

Finalists of the WITovation Awards 2012 have been identified, three weeks before the winners will be eventually crowned at the Web in Travel Conference in October.

In its second presentation, the WITovation Awards recognise companies or individuals that have made a difference in a chosen field, either through a specific marketing campaign or an overall strategy, in the digital travel space in 2012.

The internatinal panel of judges assembled for this awards will be making their final assessments within the next few weeks.

“Since we launched this awards last year, we have seen an impressive growth of innovative ideas and applications in the digital travel space. This year, we expect our winners to deliver even more inspirational story boards from which many more such companies will birth. This is the role we want the awards to play,” said Yeoh Siew Hoon, creator and owner of Web in Travel conference.

There are a total of five categories, although nominations were only accepted for four. The fifth, Unplugged Plus Award to recognise an individual marketer or company who embodies the ethos of WIT 
(Creative, witty, respected, credibility, cutting edge), is an editorial choice, and will also be announced at the conference.

These are the finalists under the four judged categories:

Uber Social 
The company which has made the most awesome use of social media to tell a story, engage with the customer to improve service, increase loyalty and improve revenues.
