The commercial agreement between Scoot and Wego sees the integration of the airline’s fares into over 50 Wego country sites globally.
Wego users can now see Scoot’s expanding network schedules, airfares and availability in real-time, alongside the other carriers and suppliers serving the same routes.
Scoot currently flies from Singapore to Sydney, the Gold Coast, Bangkok, Tianjin and Taipei. It will soon commence Shenyang, Qingdao and Tokyo.
The airline is offering fares from Singapore as low as S$168 to Sydney or the Gold Coast and S$178 to Taipei.
Ross Veitch, Wego CEO & co-founder, said the addition of Scoot would see travellers unlocking significant savings.
Over in Malaysia, national carrier Malaysia Airlines has appointed Expedia as one of its official online ticketing agents to offer affordable airfares to travellers in Malaysia all year round and at any time of the day.
This partnership provides Malaysian consumers with a simple and easy to use online travel-booking channel to view, select, transact and finalise their air travel needs from the comfort of their homes and work places.
The deal makes MAS’ full schedule of domestic and international routes and fares, including that of its wholly owned subsidiary MASwings, are now available on Expedia’s newly-launched Malaysia website, www.expedia.com.my.
MAS head of sales and distribution, Duncan Bureau, said the airline was already working together with Expedia in other markets where it operates.
