AttractionsVisitBritain will be official partner for the 23rd James Bond movie, Spectre, with a campaign that will launch to coincide with the film’s release at the end of the year.

Movies will continue to play a major part in the marketing of the UK by VisitBritain. Current filming includes a new Tarzan movie, where several British locations are used when Tarzan, now living in London, is called back to his former home in the jungle.

More Millennials look to travel agents

A recent American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) study highlights the increasing number of millennials working with travel agents, as well as their high vacation satisfaction rate.

ASTA’s “Traveler Decision-Making Survey” gathered data from 3,000 U.S. consumers and dug into key industry trends. Data showed that 92 percent of those who use travel agents expect to work with one in the future and that 41 percent of participating millennials used a travel agent in the past 12 months.

Thailand’s tourism looks up

thai girlsThe numbers are now in for tourism in Thailand for the first quarter of 2015, and they are looking very bright indeed.

Despite the collapse of the Russian market, which halved from 700,000 visitors in the first quarter of 2014 to 324,000 in the same period this year, the overall numbers were up by 23.5 per cent, according to Thai Immigration Bureau figures, which include entry by air, sea and road.
