Hunter Valley seizes opportunity to showcase MICE offerings
Australia’s regional areas are keen to let the MICE industry know of their capabilities as a venue for major conventions.
This week, a key conference in Hunter Valley organized by Australia’s peak business events body, will attempt to do just that. The Association of Australian Convention Bureaux’s (AACB) 2015 Staff Conference is being held at venues in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley from September 9 to 11, 2015.
Boy from Oz to sell Oz
Qantas has roped in The “Boy from Oz” Hugh Jackman to promote Australia on the global stage.
The award-winning actor has signed on to become an official global ambassador for the airline and will also work with Qantas on community projects in Australia, with further details to be announced soon.
Jetstar encourages self-service
Jetstar Asia wants its customers to realize the benefits of self-service and has launched a campaign to do just that. Customers travelling from Changi Airport on Tuesdays will be encouraged to check-in using only the self-service kiosks.
Jetstar Asia has also updated the kiosk interface and increased the number of self- service kiosks and bag drops that are available.
