“The Japan inbound travel industry is facing a challenge to support the local government’s target growth of 40 million inbound visitors by year 2020. To achieve this target, it is essential for the industry to provide feasible online solutions such as user-centered booking systems,” Venture Republic said.

It added the programme also aims to bring about greater expertise and knowledge of the inbound travel industry through extensive market research, allowing it to provide a user-centered online travel system that epitomises the real Japan experience.

Venture Republic, which hosts Tabiness, a Japanese travel guide/media, Trip101, a global travel guide, said it is “preparing to meet the market’s needs with its expertise on the online travel market”.
