The competition was in conjunction with the second WIT Indonesia, which gathered close to 170 delegates.
Judges called it simple and scalable and the use of the + sign can be applied across all media and could easily become an icon for Visit Indonesia.
The runner-ups were Infinite Charms Indonesia, Yours, by Flora Marcella Ruslim (pictured below right), and Indigenous Indonesia, by Deden Fathurraman (pictured below left).
Flora Marcella, who flew from Bali to attend the conference, won “Most Popular Idea” in a poll of the audience at WIT Indonesia.
The competition garnered more than 150 entries from across Indonesia.
“We want to thank Wego and Kreavi for helping us run this competition,” said Yeoh Siew Hoon, editor and founder of WIT. “Indonesia is such a diverse, beautiful destination and it always puzzles me as to why people don’t know more about it beyond Bali. Yet I’ve never met prouder people than Indonesians when it comes to talking about their country as a destination for tourists.
“This competition was designed to unleash the creative juices of local designers so that they could dream of promoting their own country and we were impressed by the quality and creativity of the entries.”
“Wego was very happy to sponsor this design challenge. It’s great to create a platform for the Indonesian community to share their ideas on how to promote this remarkable destination” said Graham Hills, managing director, Wego Indonesia.
“The designs and concepts submitted were very impressive and it clearly showed there’s no shortage of creativity, pride or passion in Indonesia” continued Hills.
The winner won a US$1,000 cash prize from Wego and the two finalists won hotel vouchers for stays at Tauzia Hotels Indonesia.
