Travellers can now “discover and book experiences on the go” in 182 countries with the recent partnership between Sydney-based aggregator of instantly bookable tours, activities and attractions Livn and online travel marketplace Leezair.

Livn, which distributes more than 700,000 live tours and activities to travel retailers through its API, has integrated its technology platform with Leezair, the Australian technology startup launched in September 2016.

Leezair connects with travellers through its website, two mobile apps and the Leezair Travel Partner Network that features white label agreements with thousands of hotels, digital services, customer kiosks and Virtual Reality services.

Describing the partnership with Leezair as “a perfect fit”, Livn’s co-founder Steve Martinez explained that the busiest booking period for tours and activities suppliers was within 48 hours of the start time, “and Leezair’s distribution network is perfectly positioned to capitalise on the spontaneous nature of this growing space.”

He noted that “to be successful in this space you’ve got to sell to people when they are ready to book and for tours and activities that is when travellers are in-destination looking for things to do.”

More choices for travellers in Livn-Leezair partnership

Leezair founder Enguerrand Vidor added: “We are working very closely with Livn and share the same vision to offer live bookings of tours, activities and experiences while increasing supplier conversion rates.”

He revealed that due to the effectiveness of its mobile model, “we are now branching out into new distribution channels such as hotels or airlines, allowing our partners to earn ancillary revenue they wouldn’t otherwise have.”

Livn said a key point of difference for both companies is they focus on live availability and instant booking.

Martinez advised retailers to choose their tours and activities aggregator carefully because most do not offer live content. “If retailers are not correctly wired, they are going to miss the real business opportunity. There’s a lot of smoke and mirrors out there.”
