GuestReady, a global short-term rental company, has acquired BnbLord, the largest Airbnb management company in France, to form the GuestReady Group. The combined company will be the leading provider in Europe managing more than 2,000 properties with a wide range of services to property owners, agents, and developers.

GuestReady Group and all jobs will be maintained, with the founding team of BnbLord taking senior management positions at the GuestReady Group.
“We have been friendly competitors of GuestReady for the past couple of years, and we are excited to now join forces. The industry is maturing quickly and we are happy to become part of the technology leader in this space. With our shared experience, we will be able to further accelerate growth” said Léo Bonnet, co-founder & CEO of BnbLord.
In an earlier interview with WiT late 2018, it announced itself the driving force for industry consolidation on the supply side of short-term rentals, after acquiring two European acquisitions.
Now, after cementing itself as the leader in Europe, it is already setting its sights on Asia.
“The market in Europe is still highly fragmented, and we are still getting lots of interest from smaller companies to join GuestReady. However, we are also looking in other geographies, particularly Asia,” said its CEO Alexander Limpert (pictured left).
Limpert believes the operational challenges across regions are very similar and its technology system “is adapted to solve these challenges across markets”.
On tackling Asia, Limpert said, “It’s less of a difference between continents but more between individual cities. Asia has a much higher level of newly built condominiums, so that gives us the opportunity to partner with developers and large scale investors to manage their portfolios.”
He said to size up a market before entry, GuestReady would consider market size, profitability of operations, level of competition, regulations and seasonality. But scaling upwards so quickly is not one of its concerns as it has confidence in the robustness of its technology platform.
“We can run our large portfolio of properties efficiently thanks to a sophisticated tech platform that we have built in-house over the past years. Without much additional added complexity, we can scale our portfolio multi-fold over the coming years,” added Limpert.
Short-term rentals in alternative accommodation is definitely on the uptake. “We have been seeing more bookings from Booking.com for short term rentals.
Recent news reports of hidden cameras found in Airbnb properties “reinforce the need for a brand like GuestReady”, insists Limpert.
“We stand for quality and reliable service in short-term rentals. I believe more guests will be looking to stay in professionally-managed properties. If you check the host profile, it would say the property is managed by GuestReady,” said Limpert.
