Globe Planner has been named winner of the Alibaba Cloud x Atlas Agentic AI Hackathon. The finals were held at the WiT Bootcamp, part of WiT Singapore.

The hackathon challenged developers, startups and travel-tech innovators to build AI agents that change how travel is searched, sold and serviced. Participants worked with Atlas travel APIs, Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and the Qoder platform. Qoder is an agentic platform for real work — spanning software development, terminal workflows, managed cloud execution, everyday productivity and long-running digital roles.

The competition drew 461 applications and 46 completed submissions, which were narrowed to a Top 10 and then to three finalists. The three finalists pitched live to a panel of industry judges and travel leaders.

Globe Planner, represented by Founder and AI Systems Lead Victor Gaya, is an autonomous multi-agent travel copilot designed to solve real-time disruption cascades. Built on an Atlas settlement layer, GlobePlanner models complex itineraries as Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) to autonomously detect missed connections, replan downstream routes across parallel suppliers, and execute deterministic, human-gated settlements.

Teams were assessed on innovation, feasibility, use of Alibaba Cloud’s Qoder platform, and demo presentation.

The runners-up were Hset Min Htet, Founder, Northstar AI and Jian Kiang, Co-founder, YuanFen.

The winning team receives up to USD 5,000 in cash and USD 4,000 in Alibaba Cloud credits.

“GlobePlanner started as a personal project to solve my own travel friction, so winning this hackathon is an incredible validation. It proves that agentic AI can move far beyond chat, transforming real-time disruption into seamless, resilient journeys for travelers everywhere,” said Gaya.

Mary Li, CEO and founder of Atlas, said: “The biggest takeaway from this WIT Hackathon was seeing how agentic AI is lowering the technical barriers to innovation in travel. It opens the door for developers and innovators to challenge established ways of doing things with traveller-first solutions that solve real pain points and introduce new products and features. Atlas was proud to play a part by giving teams access to real flight distribution capabilities and the infrastructure to bring their ideas to life.”

“Hosting the finals at WiT Singapore was a privilege, and it gave us a glimpse of the kind of innovation that will shape the future of travel. It put the next generation of travel builders on the same stage as the industry they’re building for,” added Yeoh Siew Hoon, Founder, WiT.
