WIT*e Singapore is being supported by Abacus International for the year and the first for 2011 will be held at the Thai-German microbrewery, Tawandang@Suntec.
The first WIT*e will feature speakers such as Brett Henry, Vice President-Marketing and Vice President India of Abacus, Joon Ian Wong, editor of e27, Marc Charron, Managing Director Asia Pacific, TripAdvisor and Roshan Mendis, President and CEO, ZUJI/Travelocity Asia Pacific.
Henry will cast his eye over the travel landscape in the region and share his pick of the hot start-up ideas he’s seen out there in the last six months, while Joon, Editor of e27, the people behind “Discovering Web Innovation in Asia”, will share his take on the latest ideas to emerge in the digital space specifically in mobile.
Their ideas will be sure to spark ideas in every aspiring entrepreneur’s heart.

Following that will be a Conversation with TripAdvisor’s Charron and ZUJI’s Mendis who will share their plans to scale the business in the region, and what are the new skills they are looking for in their future talent.
Graham Wilson, Vice president-Sales & Marketing, Accor Asia Pacific and Gregory O’Neil, President of BCD Travel Asia Pacific, will also be present to share their ideas on nurturing the next generation of talent needed to sustain the fast-growing travel industry in Asia Pacific.
Web In Travel will also announce an exciting new initiative, a first of its kind for the region.
“This is the third year we are holding WIT*e and it’s really growing into a movement. We have held similar events in Bangkok and Melbourne and the response has been encouraging.
