The implementation of the Amadeus online booking engine was timed to coincide with Garuda Indonesia’s re-introduction of services to Europe with the launch of a new daily service from Jakarta to Amsterdam via Dubai. This route will be operated by the airline’s new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which features the latest inflight entertainment for all passengers and a fully-flat bed in business class.
Amsterdam is the first of several major European destinations which Garuda Indonesia intends to add to its fast-growing network over the next four years, including Frankfurt, London, Paris and Rome.
The Amadeus e-Retail web booking engine has opened a new channel of distribution for Garuda’s international services and, with its user friendly design, is helping the airline achieve significant growth in international routes online bookings.Garuda has adopted a full suite of Amadeus’ web booking engine solutions, which enables the airline to offer a simple, user-friendly web experience where customers can search for a suitable itinerary and fare, make their own booking, process their payment and automatically receive their e-ticket.
This new partnership will provide Garuda customers with a new, user friendly, online booking engine, which combined with the new aircraft, services and routes is aimed at re-branding the image of Garuda into a modern, efficient and reliable airline.
