e27 Academy Scholarship is open for entries, deadline November 23

Calling all entrepreneurs! e27 Academy – a three-day startup learning programme in Batam (November 28-30) – has launched a scholarship programme, open to any early stage startup founders with an innovative business idea or market-ready product.

e27 Academy will offer a series of workshops, roundtable discussions, mentorship and networking opportunities over three days. The programme is designed to give startups and early-stage companies an extra hand in understanding the fundamentals of setting up a business in South-east Asia, with topics spanning:

  • Understanding the South-east Asia market and how to enter it strategically
  • Enhancing productivity and performance through optimal financial management, sustaining productivity and creativity, and setting up appropriate metrics to evaluate performance
  • Leadership and management: understanding dysfunctional group dynamics, motivating your team, managing mental health under the pressures of a startup environment, and preparing for your first board meeting
  • Hiring and talent recruitment: building and managing remote teams, handling pay rises, cuts, promotions and demotions, and understanding local labour laws
  • Fundraising: from private equity to unconventional fundraising routes, building an effective pitch deck, understanding term sheets, and how to manage your capital

Transport, food and accommodation are also provided.

e27 Academy Scholarship | WiT

The e27 Academy scholarship recipient will spend all three days in the company of up to 300 Southeast Asian startup founders and 20 regional startup mentors, hailing from companies like Golden Gate Ventures, Cocoon Capital, Grab, Impactech, Aviva Ventures, Glints and more.

The only catch is that the scholarship recipient must attend all three days of the programme without absence.
