flyadeal takes off with AlFursan

Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier flyadeal has officially joined AlFursan, the loyalty programme of its sister airline Saudia, offering members more flexibility to earn and redeem miles across a growing network of domestic and international destinations. Announced at a ceremony in Jeddah, the move deepens integration between the two airlines, which already codeshare across all routes. “Joining AlFursan was just a matter of time,” said flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway, noting the airline’s rapid growth and the rising demand from tourists, business travellers and pilgrims.

With over nine million members, AlFursan is the Kingdom’s largest loyalty programme and continues to expand its partner network. “Our goal is for AlFursan to be the most rewarding loyalty programme in Saudi Arabia, and one of the best globally,” said Vice President Essam Akhonbay. Notably, AlFursan miles on flyadeal flights can be redeemed without blackout dates and cover full flight costs, including fees and taxes. The announcement comes as flyadeal rolls out new summer destinations and scales up operations, with plans to triple its fleet by 2030.

Agoda’s 20th birthday sale drives 70% booking surge on day one

Agoda’s 20th Birthday Sale campaign delivered big wins for partners, with booking volumes jumping over 70% on launch day alone. Running from 7 to 21 May 2025, the two-week global campaign generated over 470 million impressions across digital platforms, thanks to a robust mix of exclusive deals, influencer engagement, and strategic collaborations. Close to 35,000 partners, including hotels, airlines, activity providers, and digital platforms like ShopBack and Paytm, participated in the promotion, which showcased Agoda’s ability to match supply with traveler demand through data-driven marketing.

Agoda’s Senior Vice President of Supply, Andrew Smith, said the results reflect how “insights, smart tech, and targeted campaigns” are key to scaling success for partners. Hotel and airline collaborators also praised the campaign’s effectiveness. “Agoda delivered beyond our expectations,” said Grande Centre Point’s GM, while Thai Vietjet highlighted the campaign’s role in expanding reach. ShopBack’s Co-Founder Joel Leong added that the partnership created “win-win outcomes” through value-driven travel experiences and exclusive cashback offers.

Dynamic pricing set to double in tours and attractions sector

While airlines and hotels have long embraced dynamic pricing, the tours, activities, and attractions sector is only beginning to catch up. According to Arival’s latest research, 70% of operators still rely on static pricing set once a year, and just 7% currently use dynamic pricing strategies that respond to real-time demand, availability, or external factors like weather. However, this is changing fast, with 16% of operators naming dynamic pricing as a top strategic priority, especially among larger and enterprise-level businesses.

Interest in dynamic pricing is particularly strong among attractions such as museums, zoos, and amusement parks, which have high visitor volumes and limited capacity. These organizations are more motivated to implement pricing models that can help manage demand and optimize attendance. Today, 6% of all attractions and 12% of enterprise-level attractions use dynamic pricing, but those numbers are expected to grow significantly—up to 13% and 37%, respectively, in the coming years.

According to Arival’s data, driving this shift is a new wave of technology providers offering advanced pricing tools integrated into booking systems. Platforms like FareHarbor, Peek, Roller, and Xola are enabling operators to move beyond fixed rates, making it easier to implement variable and dynamic pricing strategies. As demand for flexible, data-driven revenue management increases, dynamic pricing is poised to become a key competitive differentiator in the in-destination experiences market.
