Over Oct 18 and 19 at Carlton Hotel, Singapore, a 24-hour programming marathon where participants from Abacus and Abacus’ partner companies came together to brainstorm and develop innovative new solutions and applications.
With the aim to foster a vibrant and innovative culture within the Abacus developer community and to empower customisations for specific local markets, the event saw the development of hacks, focused predominantly on improving the travel experience for consumers.
Other hack ideas also include enabling SEO on agency web site as well as improving on agency productivity.
Besides vying for the title of being Ultimate Geeks, building the Sexiest Hack or the Hackers’ Choice, there was also an award of S$10,000 sponsored by Abacus International for the Most Marketable Hack.
The prize money was given out at the Web In Travel Conference by Robert Bailey, president & CEO of Abacus International. The winner of this category went to Team eKiosk, comprising Sam Chan (Abacus Hong Kong), Ben Chen (Abacus Taiwan), Henry Low and Xu Cheng Jie (Abacus International). (pictured below) .jpg)
