Quick updates

  • WORLDHOTELS will be holding its regional meeting in Japan to bring its family of hotels round the table to discuss recovery measures. Date June 12 at Rihga Royal Hotel, Tokyo. WIT’s Yeoh Siew Hoon will be speaking at the event.
  • There is talk that a group of OTAs will be getting together to encourage travel to Japan, especially to Tokyo.
  • Travel agents in Singapore have been dangling deals and discounts to Japan but sentiment remains weak.
