The company listed three ways of achieving these objectives:
- Expand the range of best-value hotel offerings available to Indian customers through inventory access to HotelTravel.com’s extensive partner portfolio, including some of the world’s leading hotel brands and travel suppliers.
- Enhance its (international) customer acquisition through the large inventory of direct hotel contracts and destination management company relationships
- Leverage the unique strengths of both companies – MMYT’s booking engine and HotelTravel.com’s edge – to create best-in-class value-based offerings for customers
HotelTravel.com is an online hotel reservations and travel content provider. A well-established brand in South East Asia with prmarty foucs on the region’s popular destination, it is represented in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. It has a portfolio of over 80,000 hotels globally and content-integration on over 150,000 hotel sites.
Amit Saberwal, MMYT’s chief business office-hotels & International markets, said the development fitted well with the company’s future and strategic growth objectives.
