Australia
- The online travel scene in Australia remained consistent for the month of August. Wotif.com continued to edge out second-placed Webjet Australia (11.82%) to maintain its spot at the top of the table with 12.12% share of visits.
- The destination and accommodation category told a different story, as Agoda.com (8.24%) jumped a dramatic four spots to snag the lead from long-standing front-runner, TripAdvisor Australia (7.01%).
- Over in the commercial airline scene, Qantas continues to lead the pack for the third consecutive month, with 20.97% share of visits.
Hong Kong
- Although Jipiao.trip.taobao.com managed to preserve its title as the top online travel agency its share of visits dropped significantly from July’s 13.49% to last month’s 6.63%. This brings its dominant reign in Hong Kong to an end, having only led Ctrip.com (6.50%) marginally.
- Over in the destination and accommodation category all-time favourite Yahoo! Travel Hong Kong (8%) lost its lead position to Agoda.com (13.11%) for the first time this year in a historic twist.
- Cathay Pacific remains the top go-to website in the commercial airlines sector, having secured 34.68% share of visits
Singapore
- ZUJI Singapore regained its position as the top online travel agency with 10.92% share of visits, after trailing Expedia Singapore (8.32%) for the past three months.
- Agoda.com continues to dominate the destination and accommodation scene in Singapore, clinching over a quarter of the visit share (27.6%).
- The commercial airline sector remained unchanged for the month of August, with Tiger Airways (21.08%) holding the lead ahead of Jetstar (15.29%) and Singapore Airlines (13.88%).
