ZUZU Hospitality Solutions, a outsourced sales and marketing solution for independent hotels, has secured an additional US$2 million of funding and will use the funds to “deliver a software and a service” model to its partners.
Specifically, it will invest further into its revenue management technology and its account management function.
The round was led by Singapore and Silicon Valley fund, Wavemaker Partners. Additional new investors include Singapore-based Golden Gate Ventures, Alpha JWC, and Convergence Ventures of Indonesia. Former Hilton president Paul Brown and existing investor Goodman Capital, are also participating.
ZUZU had an initial angel investment of US$1 million.
“We are driven to enable the independent hotel segment to not only compete, but to thrive, because these hoteliers deserve high quality professional services at a reasonable cost,” said Dan Lynn (pictured left), co-founder of ZUZU.
Co-founder Vikram Malhi added, “We have already partnered with more than 150 hotels across Asia. Our model is working – now it is time to grow.”
New investor Wavemaker said the founders’ extensive experience in online travel through their work in Expedia meant the company was “well positioned to revolutionise services for a historically underserved independent hotel market in Asia”.
