Outrigger sets new brand direction with focus on resorts and vacation condos

Outrigger Hotels and Resorts celebrates its Founder’s Day on 20 September to commemorate the day when the hotel group’s founders, Roy and Estelle Kelley, opened their first hotel in the Hawaii resort destination of Waikiki in 1947.

To celebrate this special day the hospitality company unveiled its new brand direction, which focuses on new resorts and Hawaii vacation condos by Outrigger brands

David Carey, president and chief executive officer, Outrigger Enterprises Group, said making the announcement on Outrigger’s Founders Day was timely, as the refreshed brand strategy and vision was born from more than 67 years in the hospitality industry.

“We know beachfront destinations, and have the experience to do it better than anyone else. Our guests will be able to rediscover Outrigger with authentic localised experiences in iconic destinations, paired with unmatched hospitality.”

He added the company’s goal is to be known as the premier beachfront resort brand in the world, providing an experience where “local culture meets world-class Hospitality.”

logoOutrigger’s newly focused brand vision also includes a refreshed corporate look and marketing campaign. An updated logo highlights the company’s iconic Outrigger canoe, which evokes a sense of discovery and exploration.

The new advertising and marketing campaign themed, “Find Out. Find Outrigger,” features the groups’ gracious hosts from around the world along with vibrant destination photography that brings the unique stories of each Outrigger property to life.

“With our brand revitalisation, we are creating a solid foundation that will help fuel our future growth and build upon Outrigger’s position in the hospitality industry,” Carey said.

Outrigger has expanded to nearly 11,000 rooms at more than 40 properties worldwide, it recently acquired the Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort project, as well as the opening of Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort in Thailand Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa, and Outrigger on the Lagoon, Fiji and Castaway Island.

The hospitality group will also additional faculties and amenities in existing resorts over the next few years and become part of all future projects. these include iconic beachfront bars, exceptional spas, and Voyager 47 club lounge (number 47 is a nod to the year when the first Outrigger hotel opened).
