Low cost carrier AirAsia is looking to grow the business travel segment with its latest offering, Premium Flex, which gives business travellers numerous perks including the flexibility of changing their flight up to two times with no change fee.

The new product, which was launched in Kuala Lumpur on August 11, also offers complimentary 20kg baggage allowance, Xpress boarding, Xpress baggage, among other benefits.
Kenny Wong, AirAsia group head of ancillary, said the product was to meet the is growing demand for business travel, as well as providing flexibility, convenience to business travellers with their unpredictable schedules that may require last minute changes to travel plans.
Flight change is available up to two hours before the scheduled departure time of the original flight, at least three hours before the departure time of the new AirAsia flight,, and four hours before the departure time of the new AirAsia X flight. The change can be made on handheld devices, via the airline’s website and through all the airline’s official offline booking channels.
Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, AirAsia group chief executive officer, said ancillary income contributes about 20% of the airline’s revenue.
“We are determined to boost this further with new products and services. The flexibility and other perks are designed to provide a travel experience with high satisfaction standards which I am confident will be a hit,” he added.
Premium Flex is available for all AirAsia flights except for Sri Lanka
