Global professional driver service Blacklane has acquired Solve, the first platform for booking global airport concierge services.
Solve, founded last year and selected to Y Combinator’s Summer 2017 batch, serves more than 500 airports. Its services include curbside and air-side passenger meet and greet, fast-track security, expedited customs and immigration, connecting flight assistance and lounge access.
This is Blacklane’s first acquisition. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
Blacklane co-founder and CEO Jens Wohltorf said the deal makes door-to-door travel and personal service even smoother.
“This is a natural extension of Blacklane’s personal service and high-quality rides as it connects the dots between a comfortable flight and a comfortable ride.”
Concierge services also save travellers time before and after flights, so they can make the most out of the time spent in airports, he added.
Travellers will be able to book Blacklane’s airport services, with or without airport transfers, in December.
Blacklane is present in more than 250 cities, 50 countries and 500 airports around the world. Key partners include Amadeus, Expedia, Hertz and Qatar Airways.
