29/07/2020 by WiT

Driven by domestic demand, global hotel direct bookings from June are already reaching last year’s volume, according to data from D-EDGE’s newest edition of its Hospitality Recovery Tracker dashboard.

D-EDGE has made this web-based tracker available globally as an “initiative to give back to the hospitality industry, helping hoteliers to understand and monitor the ongoing trends in these times of uncertainty”.

The barometer is built on data collection from more than 10,000 independent and chain hotels.

The following data points are available on the tracker:

  • Daily bookings by country or main regions/cities
  • Daily confirmed Bookings and Cancellations
  • Bookings by creation date and arrival date
  • Data by distribution channels such as Direct channel, OTAs, wholesalers and other distributors
  • Selection of domestic or international markets for 2019 and 2020.

They can be filtered by countries, regions/cities, distribution channels, domestic or international markets.
