Luxury lifestyle resort brand, akyra, launches at ITB

akyra Chura Samui on Koh Samui’s trendy Chaweng Beach is the first property under the akyra brand. It will open in June with 62 stylish suites and rooms, a lavish spa âï¿½¨with his and hers meditation rooms, free Wi-Fi throughout the resort, a well-stocked library and stylish Galleria boutique. ¨

Launching akyra are the people behind the successful, luxury boutique Aleenta Resorts and Spas Thailand, led by founder and managing director, Anchalika Kijkanakorn (pictured left).¨The two hotels under this brand are Aleenta Hua Hin-Pranburi and Aleenta Phuket–Phang Nga.

All the properties are managed by Akaryn Hospitality Management Services (AHMS), also founded by Kijkanakorn, which offers full service management contracts, hospitality consulting, pre-opening consulting, as well as co-investment for small luxury hotels, resorts and spas.

Kijkanakorn said that more resorts under the akyra brand would open in the near future. Next on the drawing board is the Akaryn Samui on Cheng Mon Beach scheduled for opening in Q4 2011.
