DETERMINED to kick off the year with a strong start, Singapore-based flight platform, Mystifly has launched two new products back to back – Mystifly Universe and MystiPay.

Mystifly Universe is a global flight data API which aims at bringing data-driven certainty to unlock new revenue opportunities while reducing operational costs.

MystiPay, developed in partnership with Diners Club, is positioning itself as a new payment and settlement solution for the travel industry. Diners Club International will be the payment facilitator for purchases made through MystiPay.

On Mystifly Universe, founder and CEO Rajeev Kumar said, “We live in an era where airline distribution is becoming even more complicated. With Full service airlines looking at alternatives to traditional distribution and with low cost Carriers and ultra-low cost carriers emerging, airfare types and its distribution has become even more fragmented and complex. The cost of search and data processing has increased multi-fold for travel intermediaries.”

Mystifly Universe aims to ease the pain points for intermediaries. It is designed to offer a continuous stream of shopping results from Mystifly’s airfare marketplace and actively processing close to 300 itinerary options per shopping query. The data includes a mix of published, web and private fare content.

Bharat Goyal, co-founder & CTPO added, “Universe allows our customers to solve multiple use cases including reducing their infrastructure cost by accessing Mystifly’s processed flight itinerary data along-with pricing, fare & ticket attributes as well as airline ancillary data.”

Calling it “the most collaborative, comprehensive and simplified solution”, he said customers have the option to receive data in XML & JSON formats in real-time data stream and they can customise the airline data based on their own parameters. Data filters include specific airlines, markets, date ranges, duration of travel, itinerary types and fare types.

On MystiPay, Kumar said, “We have always taken a holistic approach in solving the airline industry challenges. The partnership with Diners Club International complements our goal to reduce airline payment costs and settlement time for bookings done through Mystifly’s airline retailing platform.”

Matt Sloan, vice president of International Markets at Diners Club International, said, “We are excited about the Mystifly partnership and the opportunity to offer the airline industry a new lower cost payment option. The partnership is testament to the important role Diners Club International has in the airline and travel space, offering benefits to travel intermediaries and airlines alike.”
