What is the one thing the travel industry must do to inspire, motivate and retain young talent?

As a new generation enters our workplace, the travel and tourism industry needs to ask this critical question: What is the one thing that the travel industry must do to inspire, motivate and retain young talent?

This was the question we asked during the WITNext Summercamp (watch video below) on June 21-22 in Singapore during a Challenge we did with IDEO, the global innovation and design firm which recently set up a regional base in Singapore.

Below are the answers we got from participants during the brainstorm session ran by David Beath of IDEO.

“Next Wave, New Gen” will also come under the spotlight at the upcoming WIT Conference, Oct 15-17, when we present the results of a study WIT is partnering the Duxton Consulting Group on, along with a panel of youths assembled by AIESEC. Present in over 110 countries and territories and with over 60,000 members, AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organisation and its chapter in Singapore will be actively involved in this year’s WIT.
