A young boy and his sister are on a runaway train. There’s danger afoot. Where are they heading? Will anyone save them? Will they save each other?
To celebrate WiT’s 20th anniversary, we created a short film to kickstart the event using the kind of tech that has defined 2025 – AI. Artificial Intelligence. Generative AI.
Controversial as it may be, AI is here to stay and it’s also here to disrupt, bringing plenty of innovation and new opportunities (and challenges) along the way. We wanted to test the boundaries of AI’s video generation while creating a movie that resonated deeply with WiT’s core message of community, humanity and progress. We wanted to go wild with our imagination and see if AI, in its current form, would be able to bring that imagination to (for lack of a better word) life.
The results genuinely surprised us. It also gave us a glimpse into the future of video, media and creative storytelling.
It’s most important to remember that this film was produced, written and developed by people who are creatives themselves. Human people, like our resident singer-songwriter, Wendi Koh, who also developed The Next 20 theme song, produced this short film. And it was written and directed by WiT founder, Yeoh Siew Hoon.
