Spotnana’s new British Airways integration lets you instantly change flights

Spotnana has announced a direct integration with British Airways, enabling customers and partners to access the airline’s full New Distribution Capability (NDC) content along with enhanced servicing features. A key highlight is Spotnana’s fully automated, self-service disruption management, which allows travellers to cancel or rebook flights with a single click in case of delays or cancellations. Other features include access to Additional Price Points (APP) for more fare options, expanded ancillaries such as seating, self-service exchanges and cancellations, and synchronized servicing that ensures reservation adjustments are reflected across all systems. The integration also eliminates cost-recovery surcharges, providing surcharge-free fares.

This partnership aligns with Spotnana’s strategy to leverage and accelerate NDC adoption by delivering a Travel-as-a-Service platform that streamlines shopping and servicing. The integration aims to provide a seamless traveller journey with direct airline support while offering corporate travel managers and TMCs a more efficient and cost-effective booking experience.

Smartvel’s technology, which monitors official government sources, will be integrated into Copa’s website and mobile app, providing customers with up-to-date details on health and visa requirements. The solution is available in multiple languages and ensures accuracy by continuously tracking changes in travel regulations across the 32 countries Copa serves.

Beyond real-time updates, the integration allows Copa to personalize customer experiences and explore new ancillary services through Smartvel’s partnership network, which includes travel insurance and visa providers. Diego Morales from Copa Airlines emphasized the airline’s commitment to enhancing the traveler experience, stating that accurate and timely communication is central to Copa’s service strategy.
