Skyscanner launches package holiday comparison

Skyscanner has launched Packages, a new package holiday comparison product that brings flight-plus-hotel deals into its metasearch platform. Initially rolling out in the UK, the product compares offers from ATOL-protected providers including TUI, Jet2, Expedia, easyJet holidays and On the Beach, helping travellers find deals while giving providers access to Skyscanner’s 160 million monthly users. With this launch, Skyscanner now compares flights, hotels, car rentals and package holidays in one place, further diversifying its business.

The move comes as demand for package holidays accelerates, driven by cost-conscious travellers. With 62% of UK travellers focused on saving money, Skyscanner has already seen package holiday demand rise 113% at the start of the year. According to Skyscanner, its new product searches around 25 million packages daily, aiming to simplify trip planning while applying its pricing data and comparison technology to a traditionally fragmented part of the travel market.

Mews secures $300M to scale AI-driven hospitality platform

Hospitality management software provider Mews has raised $300 million in a Series D funding round, valuing the company at $2.5 billion.
